About me
Welcome! My name is Sean and I received my Honours B.Sc. in 2018 from the University of Toronto with a double major in physics and biochemistry. Overall, I took the following physics and theory courses at the University of Toronto:
- PHY131/PHY132 — Intro. to Physics
- CHM223 — Physical & Quantum Chemistry
- PHY224 — Practical Physics I
- PHY250 — Electromagnetism
- PHY254 — Mechanics
- PHY324 — Practical Physics II
- PHY350 — Electromagnetic Theory
- PHY354 — Advanced Classical Mechanics
- PHY356 — Quantum Mechanics I
- PHY450 — Relativistic Electrodynamics
- PHY452 — Statistical Mechanics
- PHY483 — General Relativity
About my website

Even though I am studying medicine, it is my goal to continue learning about theoretical physics on my spare time. But I don’t want it to end there. I want to share my passion and the topics I have learned with those who have an interest in physics, especially with those who have not had the opportunity to pursue these topics in university. This is the aim of my website. I want to create a self-contained and accessible collection of topics in mathematics and theoretical physics that is available to everyone.
In a textbook-style fashion, this website will cover the following topics:
- Classical Mechanics (Newtonian, Lagrangian, and Hamiltonian Formalisms)
- Quantum Mechanics
- Electromagnetism
- Special & General Relativity
- Statistical Mechanics
- Quantum Field Theory (eventually…)
To complement the physics, this website will also cover the following topics in mathematics:
- Calculus (differential, integral, and multivariable calculus)
- Linear Algebra
- Differential Equations (ordinary and partial differential equations)
- Complex Analysis
- Group Theory (eventually…)
The outline of the topics will generally follow the relevant physics/math courses from the University of Toronto. However, the material (including the examples and problems) are written based on my own thoughts. The diagrams and pictures are also entirely my own drawings. I will provide references to helpful textbooks, videos, and other online resources to complement your learning.
It will take a ton of time to completely write down all the topics that I want to cover, especially since I will be busy with medicine. But I will slowly and persistently work on these topics over the years to come, one section of one chapter at a time. Having said that, this website does not have an endpoint as the physics topics are virtually endless. My hope is that my work will nevertheless be a comprehensive guide to those who want to study physics, either in their spare time or as part of their university studies.
